SOFIA/upGREAT velocity resolved [C II] map of the Horsehead Nebula

Archived

Observations of the iconic Horsehead Nebula in the [C II] 158μm line were obtained using the 14-beam upGREAT Low Frequency Array on SOFIA. The data were obtained under a Director's Discretionary Time program initiated by the SMO Director, Dr. Erick Young. The data are publicly available. Further details about the observations, and links to the data archive are available on the Horsehead Nebula DDT program page.
